Notice that there will be a gentle/restorative class on Wednesdays at 4:30. We are also planning a yoga/art/music installation for the Fall. More information will be coming soon. Students have requested the seed sounds for the Chakra balancing we have done in the Kripalu Yoga Flow class. The first Chakra seed sound is Lam. The second: Vwam. The third: Ram. The fourth: Yam. The Fifth: Ham. Om is the seed sound for the crown Chakra. We have also been practicing the Five Tibetans. If you Google them, you will find all of the postures and how to do them. See you in class. Namaste.

I hope you all enjoyed Heidi’s classes in August. She will be returning to InTransit Yoga in the fall to offer a Saturday workshop. Classes will begin on Tuesday, September 8th. There have been changes in the schedule so check out the events calendar. A Thursday evening class has been added. I am excited to share with you all that I learned during my teacher training at Kripalu center. Join me in September for postures, meditation and relaxation–Kripalu style. Namaste!
During the month of August I will be studying at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. The studio will remain open with two yoga classes each week. Heidi Shindledecker, a yoga teacher from the Du Bois area, will teach the Yoga Flow classes on Wednesday, at 7:15 p.m. and on Thursday, at 9:30 a.m. The restorative yoga classes and the noon vinyasa classes will resume in the fall.
Yoga students have been experiencing increased flexibility, freedom from low back pain, better balance and increased vitality in the restorative, gentle flow and vinyasa classes at the studio. We have been incorporating some of the teachings of Mukunda Stiles, author of Structural Yoga Therapy and Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy with some amazing results. If you haven’t dropped in for a class, come in and enjoy the comfortable air-conditioned and newly restored studio in the Transit Building on Seneca St. After the morning and noon classes, try the new deli and bakery/cafe in our block. Classes will be on-going during the summer. Class cards can be used for any class. Get five classes for the price of four and use anytime. We hope to see you soon.
